Chronic Disease Care - Diabetes, Asthma, Hypertension

We aim to review all patients with these conditions at least once a year. Our nurses specialise in chronic disease management and appointments for these checks can be made via reception.

Cryotherapy

We offer cryotherapy for the treatment of minor skin lesions where appropriate. This involves freezing the abnormal skin with liquid nitrogen. Healing normally takes place between 1 and 3 weeks, but can often take longer on the lower legs. When the treated area has healed, the skin usually returns to a normal colour, but this can take several months. Uneven skin colouration or permanent pigment loss rarely occurs. Please see any GP for review of your skin lesion.

Minor Surgery

We offer cautery of minor skin lesions which may or may not require a local anaesthetic. If given the effect will last for about an hour. The procedure will generally take 15-20 minutes.
